The rule

In standard scoring, only the serving player or team scores by winning a rally. A typical game is to 11 points with a two-point winning margin; tournament formats may specify other targets.

In practice

Under the provisional rally-scoring option, the rally winner scores regardless of service. Doubles then uses only one server per service rotation and calls two score numbers. Do not apply the standard two-server sequence to that format.
