Articles 1–2 — The game and court

Two teams of five try to score in the opponents’ basket while protecting their own. The team with more points at the end wins. The court measures 28 m by 15 m, measured inside the boundary lines. Those lines are out of bounds. A clear strip at least 2 m wide surrounds the court, making the minimum floor area 32 m by 19 m.

Article 2 — Important markings

The three-point arc has a radius of 6.75 m. Its straight side sections are 0.90 m from the sidelines. A foot on the three-point line is in the two-point area. The free-throw line’s far edge is 5.80 m from the endline; the restricted area is 4.90 m wide. The no-charge semicircle has a 1.30 m radius and includes its line.

Article 3 — Equipment

Required equipment includes backboards, pressure-release rings and nets, padded supports, basketballs, game and shot clocks, a scoreboard, separate timing signals, a scoresheet, foul markers and a possession arrow. Court and safety checks belong to the officials. Article 3 refers detailed equipment specifications to a separate equipment appendix; that appendix is not included in the supplied PDF.
