Submission and stoppage
A physical or verbal submission ends the contest. The referee can also stop a fighter who is no longer defending adequately; medical stoppages are possible.
Scorecards
If the fight reaches a decision, the judges' cards determine the result. Unanimous, split and majority decisions exist, and draws are possible.
