Protected information, public decisions and privacy.
Protected information
Regulatory bodies may share information where needed for their functions while protecting confidential material. Teams and manufacturers must make the FIA privacy information available to personnel. Confidentiality obligations do not prevent permitted disclosures through the investigation process.
What may become public
The FIA may publish specified investigation and decision information under the applicable conditions, omitting confidential material. Additional restrictions protect individuals in financial cases. Permission to comment on published information does not authorise releasing other confidential case material.
