Entries and Super Licences
FIA · 2026 · Issue 03In short
Admission, licences and licence penalty points.
Permission to participate
Teams need accepted championship entries and valid team Super Licences. Race drivers need valid Super Licences and international licences; practice-only drivers need the appropriate practice licence. Key team and power-unit personnel must also be registered.
Licence penalty points
Accumulating 12 penalty points on a driver’s Super Licence causes suspension from the next competition; afterwards 12 points are removed. Individual penalty points otherwise remain for 12 months. These disciplinary points are separate from championship points earned through results.
