Frame and stringed area

The racket frame may be no longer than 680 mm and no wider than 230 mm. The flat stringed area uses crossed strings, interlaced or bonded at the crossings, and normally measures no more than 280 mm long and 220 mm wide. The head surrounds this area and the shaft connects it to the handle.

Extensions and attachments

Strings may extend into the throat if that extension is no wider than 35 mm and the whole stringed area no longer than 330 mm. Only appropriately sized and placed attachments serving the specified wear, vibration, weight-distribution or hand-cord purposes are allowed. Devices enabling a material change to the racket’s shape are prohibited.
