In short

Wing activation and electrical assistance follow separate permissions.

Adjustable wings

The system controls front-wing profiles and the rear flap. Full activation puts both in Straight Mode; partial activation changes only the front profiles. Drivers may activate only when the control electronics enable it and within the applicable activation zones. Low Grip Conditions permit only partial activation in their designated zones; the FIA can amend zones for safety.

Overtake is separate

The FIA publishes circuit-specific energy limits, detection gaps and activation lines. In race and sprint sessions, eligibility depends on the gap to another car at detection. Drivers use Overtake only when enabled and activated. It is disabled in Low Grip Conditions and during safety-car deployment, and the Race Director may disable it for safety. Manual operation requires permission after a system failure.
