Permitted parc fermé work

FIA · 2026 · Issue 09
In short

Parc fermé permits listed work, not unrestricted car changes.

Permitted servicing

The appendix lists allowable checks and servicing for brakes, bodywork, electronics, fluids, powertrain and tyres. Some work requires supervision or specific permission. Specified front-wing adjustment does not authorize adding or replacing parts. Climate-related changes depend on the official notification; driver-comfort changes beyond the listed adjustments require the Technical Delegate’s permission.

Damage and replacement

Genuine accident damage must be tied to an identifiable incident and accepted by the Technical Delegate. Repairs and survival-cell replacement follow their specific conditions; the replacement car must retain the required equivalent design and characteristics, including suspension setup. Required safety checks continue. The permitted-work list does not remove other sealing, homologation or sporting restrictions.

Three supplied FIA documents, with different seasons: general provisions 2026 (Issue 03, 25/06/2026), sporting rules 2026 (Issue 09, 01/10/2026), and technical rules 2027 (Issue 3, 01/10/2026). Read each section for its stated season. Future changes are identified separately. Independent condensed explanations; the supplied PDFs remain the source.
