Media activities and ceremonies

FIA · 2026 · Issue 09
In short

Drivers and teams have scheduled public and media obligations.

On this pageDuring the weekendAfter the race

During the weekend

Selected drivers and team representatives attend official media and fan activities. Teams disclose major new aerodynamic parts for the prescribed car presentation. Drivers must be available for interviews after elimination, retirement or finishing, according to the applicable session procedure. The Media Delegate’s instructions determine detailed arrangements; these duties continue outside driving sessions.

After the race

The leading finishers and a representative of the winning constructor attend the podium, followed by interviews and the press conference. Clothing and ceremony procedures are regulated, with a Monaco exception to the podium protocol. If no points are awarded, the specified podium ceremony does not occur, but the television interviews still take place.
