The future appendix is separate from the 2026 sporting rules.
Approved future scope
The appendix sets out changes for 2027 and 2028, with revised provisions concerning race distance and timing, reconnaissance laps, components, personnel and testing. Its car definitions and personnel allowances must not be substituted into the current-year summaries. Redlined old and replacement wording must be read with the document’s amendment convention.
No automatic present effect
For 2029 the appendix states that no changes are listed. Future provisions apply according to their stated year and scope, not merely because they appear in the same PDF. This page identifies the future package; the main sporting articles explain the supplied edition’s current provisions and retain their relevant exceptions.
