Inspecting the course
Competitors inspect only when the jury opens the course. Low-speed examination or sideslipping is allowed; practising the racing turns through or alongside the gates is forbidden.
Conditions
Course approval does not guarantee safe conditions that day. The jury may interrupt or terminate racing when snow, weather, rescue provision or fairness requires it.

Numbers refer to PDF viewer pages. Topic numbers are editorial. This guide combines the supplied FIS Alpine ICR with the equipment specifications. It covers alpine racing, not cross-country skiing, freestyle or recreational slope etiquette.
