Consequences

Illegal equipment can prevent a start; incorrect gate passage can cause disqualification. Officials distinguish not starting, not finishing and being disqualified in the results.

Protesting

A protest against disqualification normally has a 15-minute deadline after announcement and requires evidence. The standard deposit is CHF 100; special event procedures can differ.
