Single run

Super-G is decided in one run and combines speed with longer and medium turns. Competitors must follow the gates while choosing their line between them.

Preparation

Where possible, competitors may free-ski the hill before gates are set. This is different from downhill's mandatory timed training; jury inspection arrangements still apply.

It covers alpine racing, not cross-country skiing, freestyle or recreational slope etiquette.
