Draws and team matches

Knockout draws use seeding and qualifying places to organise entries; changing an established draw is restricted. The regulations describe several team systems with different combinations of singles and doubles. The event prospectus identifies the chosen system. A team match ends once a team wins a majority of the possible individual matches.

Group standings

Round-robin standings start with match points, distinguishing a played defeat from an unplayed or unfinished loss. Ties are resolved using results between the tied participants, then the applicable ratios of matches, games and points. Once some positions are resolved, the remaining tie is recalculated without those participants; unresolved ties are decided by lot.
