Which rider sets the time?

Teammates ride together against the clock, but the event regulations identify which rider's finish determines the team time. For UCI Women's WorldTour team time trials this is the fourth rider. Do not assume the first rider across the line always stops the clock.

Cooperation within the team

Teammates may exchange refreshments, equipment, wheels and bicycles and help with running repairs, but may not push each other. A caught team cannot draft behind the team that overtakes it. A dropped rider cannot join another team or give or receive assistance from it.
