Quality of performance
The E score starts at 10.0. Judges deduct for technical faults, body shape and exercise construction. A difficult skill receives no exemption from deductions for poor execution.
Reading the result
The final apparatus result combines D and E, with applicable neutral penalties deducted separately. A short exercise can attract an additional neutral deduction, so fewer skills do not guarantee a better result.
Independent explanations and translations, not official federation publications. This guide explains the supplied FIG men’s artistic Code of Points for 2025–2028. It concerns artistic gymnastics; women’s artistic gymnastics has a separate code and different apparatus requirements. The all-around combines scores from floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar. Team formats and qualification places are governed by the competition’s technical regulations.
