Gymnasts may seek an advance difficulty assessment for new elements and request authorised apparatus adjustments. They are entitled to fair scoring and equipment meeting the required standards.
Questioning a result
The coach may inquire about difficulty and content, or request review of time and line deductions through the authorised procedure. The code refers inquiry procedures to the FIG Technical Regulations; ordinary disagreement does not justify arguing with active judges.
Independent explanations and translations, not official federation publications. This guide explains the supplied FIG men’s artistic Code of Points for 2025–2028. It concerns artistic gymnastics; women’s artistic gymnastics has a separate code and different apparatus requirements. The all-around combines scores from floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar. Team formats and qualification places are governed by the competition’s technical regulations.
