Competition format
Team and all-around results use a single vault. Qualification for the vault final and the vault final require two vaults from different groups; repeating the first vault as the second is invalid.
A valid attempt
Both hands must support on the table, and the landing must be feet first. Round-off entries require the safety collar. Physical spotting during the vault or a missing support phase makes the vault invalid.
Independent explanations and translations, not official federation publications. This guide explains the supplied FIG men’s artistic Code of Points for 2025–2028. It concerns artistic gymnastics; women’s artistic gymnastics has a separate code and different apparatus requirements. The all-around combines scores from floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar. Team formats and qualification places are governed by the competition’s technical regulations.
