Continuous movement

Circles, flairs, scissors and travels should form continuous swinging work across the horse. Visible pauses or strength-based movements break the apparatus’s character and can attract deductions.

Body position and finish

Extended body positions and clear support alignment matter throughout circles and flairs. Handstand work must rise without an obvious strength action; the dismount must satisfy its specified direction and landing requirements.

Independent explanations and translations, not official federation publications. This guide explains the supplied FIG men’s artistic Code of Points for 2025–2028. It concerns artistic gymnastics; women’s artistic gymnastics has a separate code and different apparatus requirements. The all-around combines scores from floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar. Team formats and qualification places are governed by the competition’s technical regulations.
