Bounce and contact faults

The pair loses after a second bounce, a double fault, a double hit, or both partners striking the ball. A live ball hitting a player or their equipment other than the racket also loses the point. Net contact by a player, racket or clothing during play is prohibited.

Racket and return faults

A shot into the opposing wall or fence before bouncing is faulty, as is striking your own fence or ground after hitting. Dropping the racket or breaking its safety cord immediately loses the point. During authorised outside play, the doorway’s dividing post above 0.92 m is a neutral zone.
