Padel / Rule 15
Winning a point
FIP · 2026In short
Special cases where a correctly bounced ball becomes trapped.
Through the fence
After bouncing in the opponents’ court, a ball that passes through a hole in the metal fence or becomes stuck in that hole wins the point. This is different from a ball rebounding normally from the fence, which can remain playable before its next ground bounce.
On top of the wall
The point is also won if the ball, after its bounce in the opponents’ court, becomes stuck on the flat horizontal top of a wall. These special outcomes require the correct preceding bounce; hitting the opposing enclosure directly is not turned into a winning shot.
