Stoppage, injury and retirement

WP means a win on points. RSC means the referee stops the contest, for example because a boxer is outclassed or cannot safely resume. RSC-I covers qualifying injury stoppages. ABD means voluntary retirement or withdrawal by the corner. KO, disqualification and walkover are other possible outcomes.

Why the cause matters

An injury from an unintentional foul that ends the bout is decided on points, including the unfinished round. An intentional foul causing an injury that prevents continuation disqualifies the offender. A double KO normally eliminates both boxers, but in a final the points-decision procedure applies. These distinctions matter more than the fact that the bout ended early.
