How long is a bout?
Each bout has 3 rounds. Elite and U19 boxers fight rounds of 3 minutes; U17 boxers fight rounds of 2 minutes. The interval between rounds is 1 minute in every category covered by this format.
Tournament recovery
A boxer may compete in no more than 1 bout on the same calendar day. There must also be at least 12 hours between bouts. A stoppage, knockout or retirement can end a bout before all scheduled rounds have been completed.
