Points penalties

A caution and a formal warning are different. Each formal warning deducts 1 point from the offending boxer’s total on every judge’s card. A boxer’s third warning in the bout brings automatic disqualification. A sufficiently serious offence can result in immediate disqualification without previous warnings.

Mouthguard and illegal blows

Deliberately spitting out the mouthguard without being hit requires a warning; so does the mouthguard falling out for the third time. Serious illegal blows can lead to warnings or disqualification. An intentional foul that injures an opponent who cannot continue results in the offender’s disqualification.
