Let, no let or stroke
World Squash · 2025 v1.2A let replays the rally. Normally it applies when a good return was possible and the opponent tried fully to clear. No let applies when no meaningful interference occurred, a good return was impossible, or play continued beyond the interference.
The rule
A let replays the rally. Normally it applies when a good return was possible and the opponent tried fully to clear. No let applies when no meaningful interference occurred, a good return was impossible, or play continued beyond the interference.
In practice
A stroke awards the rally, for example when a good return was possible but the opponent failed to try fully to clear, or interference prevented a winning return. A prevented reasonable swing can also justify a stroke. The referee assesses the specific situation; contact does not automatically mean a let.
