Interrupted play

A suspended game resumes from the point of interruption with the existing line-up and batting order, subject to legal substitutions. The event appendix distinguishes games stopped before becoming regulation games, completed games and tied or unfinished lead changes that require resumption. Do not apply a universal weather result without checking the event provisions.

Failure to continue

Refusing to play, deliberately delaying, ignoring removal orders or lacking enough eligible players can lead to forfeiture as a last resort. A rules protest differs from disagreement with an umpire’s judgement. Fighting and leaving the bench to participate can bring ejection and further disciplinary consequences.
