Official supply

Only the appointed supplier’s tyres may be used for each class. Allocations and available specifications are regulated; event-specific changes can be authorised. Teams must return supplied tyres after the event or test.

Usage conditions

Teams must respect agreed tyre pressure, temperature and usage requirements and allow checks. A device that adjusts tyre pressure on track is prohibited. The applicable parameters are not a single universal pressure for every event.

Independent explanations and translations, not official federation publications. This guide covers MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 under the supplied FIM Grand Prix regulations, updated 2026-09-13. Other motorcycle championships have different rules. Race procedures, rider conduct and motorcycle specifications work together. Class-specific exceptions matter: a MotoGP rule does not automatically apply to Moto2 or Moto3.
