The puck

The approved puck is 2.5 cm thick, 7.6 cm in diameter and weighs 156–170 g. The organizer provides a sufficient supply kept frozen. A second puck appearing on the ice does not automatically mean an immediate whistle.

Broken sticks

A skater must drop a broken stick to continue playing and may receive a replacement legally. A goalkeeper may keep using a broken stick until a stoppage or a legal replacement arrives. Throwing a replacement stick is not an authorized handover.
