Review scope
Video review checks specified goal situations and timing. Where available, coach challenges cover offside before a goal, missed attacking-zone stoppages, goalkeeper interference and specified puck-over-glass penalties. Clear, conclusive evidence is needed to overturn the original decision.
Unsuccessful challenges
The first unsuccessful challenge brings a 2-minute bench minor; later unsuccessful challenges bring 4 minutes. A technical failure leaves the original decision standing without that penalty. Availability depends on the championship; challenges must be requested before play resumes.
